Happenings!

It’s the Summer of Love on Lake Allatoona - not that we are hoping to find peace on the race course, but you can be sure we’ll have a winning weekend in the party department!

Bellbottoms, boots and bare feet are the garb du jour of Fleet 48’s neo-flower children, along with Earth Mother skirts and tie-dye to die for.  Don’t rule out body painting, and be sure to wear flowers in your hair.

As the sun drops in the sky, we'll celebrate our day of Aquarian pursuits at the Flower Power Hour - commune at the Love Bus, fling a frisbee or stage a protest.  (Against what?  Anything we feel like!)  After dinner, we'll all make the scene with a little help from "Psychedelic Paul" Abdullah who will expand our universe with the vibes of Jimi Hendrix, the Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin - far out! We'll hitchhike our way through the era, so, whether "The Jerk" or "The Bugaloo" were in your past or not, now’s the time to embark on a serious training program.

In short, the Dixie may be about sailing up to the sun by day, but when it goes down you’d better sail in ready to party!
